Thank you, 2nd Womb Slings!

This is a belated thank you to Rixa at 2nd Womb Slings for handmaking and sending me a beautiful sling for Clara and me after her giveaway last November. She let me pick out the fabric too, which was too fun! I love the lovely details on the sling such as how the bronze rings coordinate with the dots, the careful pleats that are designed into the pattern, and the ornate stitching that holds everything together. I am supporting Clara in the picture, but I really don't have to. The rings hold the fabric very securely. I was able to unload the dishwasher and do several other household tasks while wearing her like this (and not just one handed). Clara and I are still on a learning curve with using it, but she loves the tummy-to-tummy hold as she can listen to my heart with her head on my chest, and we are learning how to use the other holds (thank you, YouTube!). I look forward to the day when we'll be able to breastfeed privately with her inside it.

For anyone looking for a sling, I definitely recommend 2nd Womb Slings. At least go to the website to check out all the beautiful fabrics! Thanks, Rixa. Your gift will get a lot of love!

  1. very cool. .. and sweet. alani was not a lover of the sling we had and i was not a baby wearing expert in her early days, nor am i now. . . . but everyone says "oh you can nurse and be hands free and no one knows it" but then when i say that to people, i always hear, i could NEVER nurse her . . . but i think the reality is, when they have a little more head/neck control that becomes easier, like nursing laying down and that sort of thing. . . . plus the learning curve for all of these things! good luck and keep us updated.

I love the sling, and it is SO nice to see a proud and glowing new mama wearing her baby close to her heart! Congrats, again!
